Rulebook & Guide
Welcome to the game! This is a combination of Balance of Power and an RP set in Britannia in the year 1258.
Players will be faced with the task of obtaining as many titles as possible, and as much prestige as possible.
Like a normal BoP, this game features the ability to place game orders via PM, in case you want to do something secretly.
Unlike a normal BoP, the game does however run mostly via role playing. One must RP their political reforms, royal marriages, grand battle speeches, diplomacy, and treaties.
However, simply actions like building providential improvements or levying armies can just be PMed to me.
You may also notice something a little more sinister in this game than the English. Vampires, or Cainites are about.
With that, I leave you to the fun!
real life days is one season, or 4 months. All actions are either role played out, or sent to me via PM.
1 day is half of a month.
If your character's stats change, you will receive a PM.
One doesn't send in turnly orders like they do a standard BoP.

A Note on Titles
Kings represent their Kingdom on the world's stage, and have power over all dukes, counts, and earls. There are only so many King titles, but they include:
King of England
King of Scotland
Prince of Wales
High King of Ireland
King of Argyll
King of the Isles
There are multiple regions within a Kingdom. Each region has a duke, the duke has power over the counts and earls of his provinces. The following is a map depicting the regions of Britannia.

Every city has a count, which collects all of the income of a city. Count titles are worth 10 prestige. They answer to their region's duke.
Every countryside has 3 Earls. They split the income of the countryside. Earl titles are worth 5. They answer to their province's count.

Units
General Units
English:
Wales:
Scotland:
Norway:
General Units
Militia (3c per 50): Lightly armed, lightly trained, but cheap and loyal soldiers. Armed (usually) with a spear, though not particularly effective or ineffective against anything).
Sergeant (6c per 50): Professional soldiers wearing moderate armor and a armed with a spear or halberd. Good at defending and moderate on attack.
Light cavalry (7c per 50): Professional sergeants mounted on a swift horse. Best at running down fleeing units, but also decent fighters in melee, provided they are not against armored foes.
Knights (10c per 50): The cream of the medieval military crop, these heavily armored, trained, and mounted forces are recruited from the ranks of the nobility.
Archers (4c per 50) - Men with bows and arrows who fight.
English:
English Billmen (5c per 50): A superior infantry force, generally suited for defending against cavalry but better on the offense than your average sergeant.
Men-at-arms (8c per 50): The most powerful and expensive infantry unit, men-at-arms are slow moving but heavy hitting, great on both the attack and defense.
Wales:
Saethwyr (4c per 50): The greatest bowmen in the Isles, Saethwyr longbowmen can eradicate a force of knights if given the right conditions.
Welsh raiders (4c per 50): The guerrillas of the Welsh infantry. Wearing light, mobile armor, they strike with whatever weapon they have, hitting the enemy fast before withdrawing.
Scotland:
Highland Milita (3c per 50): Undisciplined but tough assault troops, Highlanders have a decent attack but not much discipline.
Scottish Pikemen (6c per 50): Scots with pikes, moderately armored and trained well. They fair quite well against enemy cavalry.
Norway:
Irish:
Norse axemen (5c per 50): Hard-hitting and fast, Norse axemen are lightly armored but the perfect assault troops in nearly all situations.
Skirmisher (3c per 50)s: Drafted from the conquered people of Norway's army, they fill a general purpose role as a light ranged unit.
Ceitherne (4c per 50): The bulk of the Irish army, Ceitherne are undisciplined warriors but the ultimate foresters.
Galloglaich (6c per 50): Armored troops originally from Scotland, Galloglaich have a powerful charge who can take down most armored infantry.
